Geelong

VicUrban is the lead agency to co-ordinate government efforts to enhance central Geelong as a key Transit City. The project aims to strengthen Geelong's standing as Victoria's second city and the focal point of the State's south west region.

VicUrban is working in partnership with the City of Greater Geelong to create a vibrant mixed-use area that better connects Geelong's significant cultural and civic precinct, education sectors, retail area and the waterfront with public transport.

It is intended that central Geelong will act as a regional economic and service hub, attracting substantial private sector investment and developing a strong and diverse business and residential community.
