Partnerships

Partnerships are central to VicUrban's successful delivery of new living options in established areas and compact, affordable and sustainable developments in outer metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. They are an opportunity to leverage VicUrban’s skills and share expertise with private and public sector organisations.

VicUrban’s reputation and capabilities make it a capable partner for projects of both local and State significance.

Melbourne Docklands

Nowhere is VicUrban's successful partnering with the private sector more evident than at Docklands - the $12 billion development that is turning unused government land into an integrated community of residents, workers, investors and visitors.

Revitalising Central Dandenong

The Revitalising Central Dandenong initiative is Melbourne's largest urban renewal project since Melbourne Docklands. It is a $290 million Victorian State Government initiative, being delivered by VicUrban in partnership with the City of Greater Dandenong.

Over the course of the Initiative's 20 year lifespan, more than $1 billion in private sector investment, 5000 jobs and 4000 new dwellings are anticipated to be delivered in cetnral Dandenong; Melbourne's flagship Central Activities District.

A one-stop shop has been established in Dandenong where VicUrban provides information and planning approval advice to those interested in the Revitalising Central Dandenong initiative.

Melbourne Water partnership

VicUrban and Melbourne Water work collaboratively on a number of initiatives. A development partnership agreement was entered into to develop the 150 hectare former Dandenong Treatment Plant site. Together with Melbourne Water, VicUrban is creating an infill residential development in Dandenong called Meridian and an eco-friendly industrial development known as Dandenong LOGIS.

Regional council partnerships

VicUrban enjoys strong partnerships with regional councils and organisations including the Southern Grampians Shire Council for the development of a project in Hamilton.  It continues working in partnership with the Office of Housing on the Parkside development in north Shepparton. Adjacent to this development work on Parkside Gardens, VicUrban was selected by the Greater Shepparton City Council as the preferred developer.

In partnership with Swan Hill Rural City Council, VicUrban is redeveloping surplus land for residential use known as Tower Hill, which is providing new homes for Swan Hill and vital economic activity.
